Emily is a licensed professional counselor at Woodlake Baton Rouge where she conducts IOP groups and focus groups on eating issues and body image along with individual and family counseling sessions. Emily received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from LSU in 2013. Working with families in the home as a Direct Service Worker gave her a passion for helping individuals and families find well-being, independence, and fulfilment. From there, she earned her Master of Science in Counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2017. Emily’s counseling experience ranges from working with college students in the university setting, families in the home and community, persons with HIV, and addiction treatment at both the inpatient and outpatient levels of care. Emily was licensed by the LPC Board of Examiners in 2019 and holds the title Nationally Certified Counselor. When not working, she enjoys running, baking, and spending time with family.
