Shawdyah Fuselier is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor at Woodlake Addiction Recovery Center in the Abbeville, LA location since January 2019. She began at Woodlake as an intern in Abbeville, LA for Woodlake’s residential program at the beginning of 2018 while pursuing her Master’s degree. Shawdyah received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in May 2011 focusing on Criminal Justice and Sociology. After graduating, she worked as a child welfare specialist for the Department of Children and family Services from April 2012 to December 2013. She then went on to work as a Family Community Partnership Associate at Smile Community Action Agency from January 2014 to October 2014. Shawdyah went to further her education by completing her Masters of Science Professional Counseling in December 2018 from Grand Canyon University. Shawdyah also received her Provisional License Professional Counselor license in 2019. After graduating, she became a fulltime residential female counselor in Woodlake’s Abbeville location. She is trained in facilitating cognitive behavioral therapy. Shawdyah has worked with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, adult trauma, unresolved grief and loss, family distress, relational issues, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, bipolar, borderline personality disorder, and substance use disorder. Her passion is to help people from all walks of life who are suffering from addiction and mental illness restore back to a healthy, productive, and sober life.
