Vanessa Reon has an associate’s degree in medical office administration and is a CIT (Counselor in training) at Woodlake Recover Center where she facilitates Intensive Outpatient group therapy sessions for those who suffer from drug and alcohol addiction. Vanessa has been working a recovery program herself for 6 years and has a passion for helping others connect and build self-confidence necessary to maintain a substance free lifestyle. In 2018, Vanessa joined the Woodlake team as a Transitional Living Mental Health Tech where she obtained her CIT and began working as an Admissions Tech for the ARC. In November of 2019, Vanessa began facilitating the evening intensive outpatient group in which we discuss coping strategies to navigate through the transitions and stressors of daily life early in recovery. Vanessa utilizes motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy and psycho-education to address grief, trauma, mental health issues as well as interpersonal and family conflicts. Vanessa enjoys mediation, traveling, hiking, attending local cultural events and live music.
